Arctech Inovation and LSHTM developed content for a series of messages on handwashing, sanitation, and bes nets to help families keep their homes safe from diseases such as COVID-19 and malaria. From september 2020, the messages were hosted on Viamo's 3-2-1 helpline, an established platform for public service information in Mali, and accessible for free via a mobile phone. We implemented a surveey to first establish a knowledge base on people's awareness of what they can do to prevent COVID-19 and malaria. We recorded their answers and identified challenges to responses over a 12-month period.
