This KPI tracks the growth in cumulative sales through FarmDirect, our digital marketplace, enabling smallholder farmers—especially women—to sell surplus produce and crops. This reduces food waste and improves food security by shortening value chains, ensuring fair prices, and increasing incomes for marginalized farmers. FarmDirect advances SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) by promoting sustainable food systems and strengthening resilience, with a focus on gender inclusion and equitable market access.

We aim to increase incomes by up to 100% for female Peruvian farmers, with an average income improvement of 15–20% by 2025. Starting from an updated baseline of $3.65/day in 2024, we will empower women farmers through equitable market access, actionable data for decision-making, and aggregation of surplus crops. This initiative aligns with SDG 5: Gender Equality, driving economic empowerment and resilience for marginalized women in rural Peru. It is key to note that we used to use a baseline of $1.35/day that was increased to $2.15 and for 2024 we've increased it to $3.65.
